A COMMUNITY SERVICE ORGANIZATION
COMMUNITY UNIFICATION INITIATIVES

OUR MISSION
Community Unification Initiatives, Inc. (C.U.I.) is a non-profit organization striving to improve the health of metro Atlanta and rural areas. C.U.I's mission is to create a healthy environment to include: health literacy, domestic violence, HIV/AIDS education, helping the homeless, helping Veterans and their households, and engaging community participation about health issues.
COMMUNITY UNIFICATION INITIATIVES, INC. IS CELEBRATING 11 YEARS AS A COMMUNITY SERVICE ORGANIZATION!
C.U.I., formerly known as Christians United Inc., was founded by Donna Tate, Peggy Daniel, and Chinester Graves. C.U.I. partnered with Embrace the Temple Ministry and the Care and Counseling Ministry of The Greater Piney Grove Baptist Church. For 10 years, C.U.I. co-sponsored the annual AIDS Walk with the Greater Piney Grove Baptist Church and has collaborated with a wide range of church and community leaders to draw attention to the AIDS and homeless pandemics. The growing homeless population has created a passionate momentum for C.U.I. and its Consortium (a group of diversified business partners) to raise funds to provide necessary essentials for the homeless. Collaboration with community organizations and concerned citizens has resulted in education and awareness for many community concerns, e.g., prevention of infectious diseases, domestic violence intervention, mental and physical wellness. Our continual focus on youths, ex-offenders, domestic violence victims, veterans, and the homeless continue to motivate people to action. Virtual and in-person workshops are offered, mostly, free of charge on health literacy, health fairs, seniors’ empowerment series, financial literacy, domestic violence, and mentoring to families and children.
We are seeking an individual to fill the position of Executive Director, a non-paid volunteer position; contact us for details.
